Breaking: Trump Promises Smooth Transition, Remains Adamant About Election Defeat

United States President, Donald Trump has conceded defeat to President-Elect, Joe Biden.

Biden’s victory was certified by the joint Session of Congress, presided by outgoing Vice President, Mike Pence, on Thursday morning.

Trump in a statement shortly after Biden’s victory acknowledged that he would leave office on January 20

He said that the would be an orderly transfer of power to Biden.

The statement read, “Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th,”

“I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again.”
